This technology constantly changes the order of numbers on the keypad, making it virtually impossible for someone to steal your code by peering over your shoulder or looking for fingerprint smudges.
- When the doorbell is pressed, it will make a chime and send push notifications to your phone, as well as record footage of the incident and store it on the accompanying microSD card. When the lock is engaged (locked or unlocked) or when an attempt to unlock fails, you'll get a push notification.

- The Vision lock is similar to the Secure Plus in terms of ease of installation, however the hub requires a few extra steps. The installation handbook includes drilling templates for new doors as well as full instructions. I began by removing all of my old lock hardware and replacing it with the new deadbolt mechanism. I then pushed the tailpiece from the external escutcheon through the hole in the lock, fed the data cables through the hole, and used the provided bolts to secure the exterior escutcheon to the interior mounting plate. - The lock should be no more than 50 feet away from the Vision Connect hub. I connected it to my network, turned it on, and waited a few seconds for the LEDs to start blinking red and yellow, as instructed. I downloaded the app, made an account, tapped Add New Device, and scanned the QR code on the bottom of the hub as instructed. To finish the installation, I input the Activation code found on the accompanying activation card, tapped Connect, established an admin code, and named the lock.
- In testing, the Vision's smart lock performed admirably. My fingerprint was always recognised by the fingerprint scanner, and the touch-screen pad was always responsive. The Auto-Lock feature was also reliable, and the lock responded quickly to Alexa voice instructions to lock and unlock the door. Furthermore, the lock was really quiet, and push notifications arrived almost instantly.
- The performance of the doorbell camera was mixed. On the plus side, when the button was touched, it always captured video and delivered a push alert and a ding to my phone, and daylight footage was crisp and colourful. The two-way audio was crystal clear. Even with my porch light turned on, evening footage appeared blurry. It was nearly impossible to tell who was at my door in utter darkness.

BEST FOR BUILT-IN WI-FI
